Speakers are a part of our homes just like any other piece of furniture or art, and to most people it is important to have a beautiful and stylish home.
JERN w8000 differs from other high end speakers because the choice of material and casting method allows our designers and engineers to create new shapes that improve the performance instead of regular square boxes that compromises the sound quality.

The detailed surface of each speaker is unique to that single speaker. It is just like fingerprints; they look similar but in detail there is no other just like yours.

A new generation

The iron for the cabinet is made from recycled materials and is good for a lifespan of more than a century.

Sound quality is an assessment of the accuracy and enjoyability when it comes to audio output from an electronic device. Sound is all about canalising the soundwaves out of the speaker and reducing vibrations within the cabinet. Different materials give different vibration levels. Traditionally, speakers are made from wood because of its low weight and ability to reduce vibrations. JERN focuses on the perfect sound which is the cornerstone in our production, design, components and choice of materials. JERN14 and JERN w8000 speakers are made from vibration free iron that reduce vibrations up to 50 times better than conventional wood. This is our key component to the crisp clean sound JERN loudspeakers delivers.

JERN w8000 is a new compact on-wall loudspeaker from JERN cast in Iron. It has a complete round shape for a discreet design. It fits in everywhere – either as an on-wall installation or mounted in the ceiling. Bracket for on-wall installation is included. A special bracket for ceiling installation is available by ordering.

The speaker comes with either white or black cloth, which covers the entire cabinet. There is also an instuction for how to customize your own cloth in every fabric to either suits in with the existing interior, or gives the possibility to play with colors in every way you like. A perfect solution for yourself, or your favorite installer.

Cloth colours currently available are white and black, however many like the casting look without cloth. The cast cabinet is available in black and in silver look.

The tweeter is a 22 mm diameter, this gives wider dispersion of high frequencies off axis.

It has a special developed 5 1/4 ” woofer, that makes good bass in a 5 liter closed cabinet.

The bass is -6dB at 60 Hz, and when placed on a wall in a normal room, it will give bass down to 40 Hz .

This happens because the room gain increase the deep bass, and the w8000 is a closed cabinet, which only reduce the deep bass by 12 db per octave.

Bass reflex cabinets reduce bass by 24 dB per octave, so they benefit less well from room gain.

The name JERN w8000:
In Danish, JERN means IRON which refers to the cabinet material. The number 8000 is its weight in gram (approximately 17, pounds).
