AUDIOVECTOR QR7

The concept of the QR 7 is a ‘classic’ design. A full 3-way system, double Pure Piston
bass units with sandwich membranes, a 6-inch midrange and our fast and agile Air Motion
Transformer tweeter. Due to its easy impedance load and high efficiency of 90.5dB it is
an easy driven speaker – a perfect match for both solid state and tube amplifiers.

THE AUDIOVECTOR QR 7 DRIVE UNITS

Instead of selecting ‘off the shelf’ drive units - from even the finest and most respected manufacturers
- we engineer our drivers in-house and ask the best suppliers to build them for us.
This way we can ensure that we co-engineer our drive units in combination with our crossovers.
The combination of low-hysteresis voice coil technology, large powerful magnets, rigid turbulence
suppressing baskets and sandwich membranes made from two layers of aluminum
(bonded together with a light foamy glue), allows us to create a richer, clearer and more
vibrant sound than with conventional technology

THE QR 7 AIR MOTION TRANSFORMER TREBLE DRIVER

AMT drivers are the fastest high frequency drivers available. Based on the original revolutionary
technology, invented by Dr. Oscar Heil in the 1970s, it has no mass to accelerate or
decelerate and reaches frequencies higher than 40.000 Hz with fine dispersion in both the
horizontal and vertical plane. A custom gold grid optimizes the reproduction of fine details
and controls sibilance at the same time.
ENCLOSURES WITH ROUNDED CORNERS
The QR Series enclosures are generously braced and made from high density hardwood HDF
for the perfect combination of superior strength, low resonance and elegant aesthetics.

BASS REFLEX PORT

The internal damping of our Q-port is very high on the QR 7. This allows for an ultra-precise,
fast, powerful, deep and detailed bass performance.

3D SOUNDSTAGE

The QR 7 is a large speaker and has an excellent 3-dimensional soundstage with precise positioning
of instruments.

TARGET FUNCTION FILTER TECHNOLOGY

By using high precision components in combination with our in-house designed drive units,
we can use a target function filtering, which uses minimal components to achieve a high
precision roll-off profile on all drivers. This allows for better dynamics, lower loss and less heat
build-up.

POWERFUL

The QR 7 has been designed to handle powerful transients with precision and low distortion
with all genres of music. There is just one crossover component in series with each driver,
which allows for an easy amplifier load.
