The acoustics are custom tuned by KEF engineers to bring consistent voicing on the move, allowing you to hear every note, every word, every detail. Qualcomm® aptX™ HD technology delivers up to 24bit/48kHz for a truly high-resolution audio experience, where every nuance and subtlety of the recording is revealed in all its glory. In each of the curvaceous closed-back earcups sits a 40mm full range dynamic driver, the diligent design and tuning of which has been undertaken by our engineering team. Smart Active Noise Cancellation

The audio performance of Mu7 benefits from the introduction of the Smart Active Noise Cancellation technology. This sophisticated system uses multiple filters to capture the environmental noise around the headphones and applies a specialised noise cancelling algorithm that targets certain frequencies depending on the type of environment. It focuses the processing on the relevant frequencies and automatically adjusts the noise cancellation to be much more effective and makes the listening experience unique depending on the surroundings. Smart Active Noise Cancellation provides a major improvement over standard one-size-fits-all versions, ensuring that your noise cancellation experience is consistently effective and never gets in the way of the music.

All-day listening experience

The Mu7 frees you from the tyranny of wires thanks to reassuringly stable, latency free Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. It supports multiple codecs for maximum compatibility and sound quality. A high-capacity, quick-charge battery ensures the Mu7 headphones stay the distance for up to 40-hour use even with Bluetooth and Smart Active Noise Cancellation engaged, with a fast-charging feature that delivers 8 hours of use from only 15 minutes of charging. There is also a 3.5mm audio connection if a wired connection is preferred and for those who want to unlock the uncompressed high-resolution playback from their compatible phones and dedicated headphone DAC/amplifiers.

Ergonomic design

Mu7’s precision-engineered aluminium construction is the result of in-depth analysis to develop a design that provides the highest level of comfort to most people. Strong, lightweight and durable, KEF’s engineers have ensured that the headband’s clamping force delivers an ideal acoustic seal, but without placing too much pressure on your ears.

The leatherette memory foam ear pads mould to the shape of your head, creating a comfortable seal that helps shut out external noise, improving both passive and active noise cancellation and bass response. A clever swivel point just above the earcups allows the Mu7 headphones to be rotated to lie flat, perfect for storing in carry-on luggage, a briefcase or the case that comes in the box.

Complete, intuitive control

In use, the capacitive touchpad on the right earcup allows you to answer calls, skip tracks, adjust the volume, activate Voice Assistant and more, through a series of intuitive taps and swipes. If you use the Mu7 for making phone calls, the Clear Voice Capture (cVc) technology helps to create a better environment for hands-free conversations by isolating your voice and reducing other sounds picked up on the microphone, delivering you crystal clear voice calls no matter where you go.
